Diana – Assistant

Diana is a Registered, Certified and Expanded Functions dental assistant.  She joined the Joplin Dental Arts team in the Spring of 2010.  Her educational experience allows her to treat patients by performing certain procedures for the dentist, just as a physicians assistant performs certain procedures for the physician.  Diana’s education has been tested and approved by the American Dental Association, and the Dental Assistants National Board.  She has assisted in general practice dentistry for over twenty years.  Her genuine care for patients is one of her strong attributes.  Along with her full-time dental assisting position, she is in her fourth year of co-teaching the Dental Assisting Program at Franklin Tech at Missouri Southern State University.  Diana attended MSSU and received her teaching certificate from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg.  Her continuing education keeps her current on all phases of new technology in dentistry.

 

 

Jill – Hygienist

Jill lives in Carl Junction with her husband David and kids Dylan and Lily. She has been a registered dental hygienist since 1998 after graduating from MSSU with a BS in Biology and an Associates in Dental Hygiene. Jill has been with Dr. Kivett since 2004. She enjoys spending time with family, going to sporting events. (She loves the MU Tigers!) Jill attends the College heights Christian Church.

 

 

 

 

Sonya – Hygienist

Sonya graduated from Carl Junction, MO high school and then attended Missouri Southern State College (now MSSU), graduating in 1993 with an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene. She later went on to finish her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science. Sonya has practiced Dental Hygiene since 1994 and says it’s a very rewarding career. She enjoys volunteering at the Community Clinic in Joplin, helping clean children’s teeth and placing sealants. Sonya’s favorite pastime is spending time with family and friends, preferably somewhere tropical! She has been married since 1994 and has a daughter, Macee Kate, and a son, Fischer. They keep her busy, but by far are her favorite two little people to spend time with!

 

 

 

Lindsay – Assistant

Linday is a Registered Dental Assistant after completing the RDA program  at Franklin Tech at Missouri Southern State University in May of 2011.  She is a 2005 graduate of Parkview High School in Springfield, MO and currently resides in Lamar, MO.  Her husband is 1st Lt. Derek Forst who is a full-time member of the Army National Guard.  In her free time, Lindsay enjoys golfing, spending time with her family and competition shooting.

 

 

 

 

Kim – Financial Coordinator

Kim joined JDA in November of 2011.  She is a graduate of Joplin High School.  Kim enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephews, shopping and going to football game.
